About Me

My Mission

My work is rooted in an ancient Venetian gesture: impirar, the art of stringing beads.
A simple action, repeated for centuries, capable of carrying stories across time and continents.

My mission is to preserve, revalue, and reinterpret the intangible culture of Venetian glass beads: not as relics of the past, but as living materials, open to new forms, new uses, and new voices. Through jewelry, objects, research, teaching, and collaboration, I continue a dialogue between tradition and imagination.

Venice is not a backdrop. It is a responsibility.
Everything I do is an act of care toward this fragile, extraordinary heritage and toward the hands, knowledge, and quiet intelligence that keep it alive.

Dreams change shape, but they do not disappear.
I am here to give them new forms, one bead at a time.

Hello From Marisa

Hello, I am Marisa.

I have always loved glass, but above all I have loved beads.
Their colors, their journeys, their patience.

I started as a collector, almost by accident, then as a reader of their histories, and finally as an impiraressa, doing what Venetian women have done for generations: stringing, inventing, experimenting, resisting time with beauty.

My shop was small, almost invisible, yet full of voices, laughter, tears, ideas, and encounters from all over the world. That chapter has ended, but the story has not.

After a time of reflection, I began again. A new dawn.
With Murano glass beads still at the center, with new projects, new battles worth fighting, and the same stubborn desire to make things with meaning.

This space collects my past, my present, and what is still becoming.
If you are here, it means you believe, like me, that making is an act of hope.

Welcome.
The dream continues.
